here's a bit about me
As owner of Interior Decorating NE, I am HSR Certified in Professional Home Staging, Redesign, and Expert E-Design. I have completed the most comprehensive and intensive home staging and redesign certification courses in North America provided by the Home Staging Resource.
The HSR Certification program is one of the only Accredited staging training by the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA), the governing body for the home staging industry.
How It Started
My passion for staging and interior decorating started in my own home. For years, friends would visit and requests poured in: "Kate, would you decorate my home?" That was it.

What Makes Me Unique?
I practiced as a mental health and substance abuse therapist for over thirty years. This experience has taught me how to help homeowners navigate the anxiety that comes with selling their home. I have also developed acute listening skills that benefit both my staging and design clients.
After decades of practicing in mental health, I can easily empathize with the emotional journey people go through when selling or buying a home. I help homeowners overcome those challenges with patience and understanding.
As a designer, I conduct a thorough lifestyle assessment, that includes decor, style and color palette preferences. By listening intently to my client, I select furnishings and decor that suit their stated preferences. It is of utmost importance to strike a balance between what the client desires and offering suggestions based on my years of design experience.
